Bodybuilding
Secrets Revealed
- Develop the Ideal Mindset
Necessary to Succeed at Bodybuilding
It is easy to get excited
about your dream of having the perfect body when you want to be the
envy or all
your friends. But, let’s be realistic… it requires discipline and
dedication. Bodybuilding
is for people who are serious about getting in shape.
There are many factors for
you to consider before beginning any bodybuilding program, however,
without
the right mindset you are destined for failure. Bodybuilding
success requires determination and dedication to your goal.
Persistence and patience are necessary as well.
The following "secrets"
that
I’m going to share with you might seem to be totally unrelated to the
subject
of bodybuilding. However, your mind is a very powerful instrument which
can
help you achieve your goals more easily. So, refrain from dismissing
these tips until you try them.
Bodybuilding Secret
#1
Developing the right
mindset
is the most important part of a bodybuilding program. Without it, you
are
setting yourself up for failure before you even get started. The next
two
secrets I will share with you will help you develop the right mindset
and describe how to go aout doing it.
Bodybuilding
Secret #2
I recommend that the first
thing you do is to decide on the primary motivating factor for
beginning a
bodybuilding program. Perhaps you see yourself entering competitions,
maybe it
will give you a sense of accomplishment and greater self-esteem, or
perhaps you
want a head-turning physique that will make you the envy of your
friends. Whatever it is, get a piece of paper and
write your primary motivating factor at the top of the page.
The second thing I
recommend
you do is to make a list of all the benefits you will gain if you
stick with
your program… better health, more stamina, more strength, look better,
feel
better, be more attractive, be more desirable, etc.
Now take the piece of paper
with your motivating factor at the top and, on that same page, make a
list of
every single benefit you will receive that you can think of.
Now, put this piece of
paper
where you will see it often. You might want to make copies of it and
put them
in strategic places. If you experience difficulties and feel like
quitting,
look at this paper and read it. Remind yourself of why you began your
program
in the first place and what you will gain by sticking with it.
Bodybuilding
Secret #3
Here
is the final and most
powerful secret for achieving your bodybuilding goals: use the power of
visualization. Some people believe that they don’t have the ability to
visualize desired outcomes. If you are one of them, here is how you
develop the skill necessary to do it. Sit in your bedroom (a room
with which you should be very familiar), look in the direction of one
of the
walls of your bedroom and study the details of what you see. Now, close
your
eyes and visualize in your mind’s eye what the room actually looks
like. With just a little bit of practice, anyone can get the hang
of this.
Now your goal is to
visualize
yourself easily going through a bodybuilding workout routine. Visualize
it as being easy and
rewarding. Next, visualize your body as you would like it to be. Then
ask
yourself the following questions: How will I feel when I look this way?
How
will my life be different? How will people respond to me? Allow
yourself to
experience the feelings you would feel if you had already reached your
goal.
After doing this the first
time, take just five minutes each morning and five minutes each evening
to
visualize yourself working out and seeing the end result. You might be
amazed
at the results you achieve.
I cannot stress enough how
much
these powerful exercises will help you. If you don’t believe they are
effective, just give them a try for the heck of it and see what happens.
